What the Job Involves

As a Building Control Surveyor, you will support the Building Control Service in delivering the Building Control function throughout North Yorkshire. You'll perform specialist assessments of building plans and conduct site inspections to verify compliance with Building Regulations and the Building Act 1984. Your role entails managing a variety of construction projects, influencing resolution of compliance issues, engaging in enforcement actions, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery. Incidentally, you will handle reports of dangerous structures and the administration of various applications and notices.
