React / Scala Developer

Title: React Developer - Investment Bank Contract Role in London - Rate £650-900PD subject to candidate experience

We are currently seeking an experienced and talented developer to work with one of our esteemed investment banking clients based in the heart of London. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who possesses excellent skills in both React and Scala development, as well as functional programming experience.

Manager is open to someone with Backend Development experience and is open to learning functional programming skills in scala. However extensive previous banking experience will be required

Job Description:
- Develop high-quality software solutions using cutting-edge technologies
- Work collaboratively within a team environment
- Utilize your expertise with front-end web application frameworks such as ReactJS
and back-end languages like Scala.
- Designing, developing, testing applications

Qualifications & Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications/skills:

1) At least 5 years' commercial experience working on large-scale projects utilizing React.js or similar JavaScript libraries/frameworks
2) Experience designing and implementing scalable backend systems using Scala (or Java)
3) Strong exposure to Functional Programming concepts
4) Hands-on knowledge regarding RESTful APIs & microservices architecture patterns
5) A solid understanding of agile methodologies
