Job Title: Real Estate Investment Modelling Manager
Duration: 6 month fixed term contract 
Location: Central/West End of London 
In Office: 3 days per week, 1 Friday per month 
Salary: £70,000 - £105,000 per annum 

The company: Working for a prestigeous, leading Real Estate company based in beautiful offices in Central London.  They specialise in acquiring, developing, and managing high-value real estate assets across the UK. 

Purpose of Role:
Are you a seasoned finance professional with a passion for real estate development? My client is seeking a Development Commercial and Finance Manager to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will provide substantive financial direction and complex analysis for large-scale real estate developments and strategic capital allocation for our £9bn+ Urban business. This is a hands-on role that also involves direct financial business partnership with the Managing Director (Development) and guidance across wider finance functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complex Appraisal Modelling: Deliver complex appraisal modelling and investment analysis for major urban developments (all >£30m) and investment transactions (all >£10m). Define and uphold group standards in modelling practices.
  • Financial Reporting: Develop and maintain appraisal modelling and reporting capabilities for existing and new development propositions. Create bespoke modelling solutions for complex investment opportunities.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Support and guide the Senior Corporate Finance Analyst and other senior analysts. Perform technical peer reviews and quality assurance on complex models and analysis.
  • Business Partnership: Act as a senior finance business partner to Development Directors and other senior stakeholders, providing commercial finance, risk management, and aggregated reporting.
  • Capital Forecasting: Lead capital forecasting and P&L near-term business reporting for scale development and investment activities. Build and maintain broader FP&A capabilities.
  • Strategic Planning: Serve as a subject matter expert on real estate scale capital investment and development, contributing to group capital allocation and long-term strategic planning.
  • Finance Function Leadership: Take on additional roles in broader finance function leadership and capability development as required.
Personal Requirements:
  • Technical Expertise: Extensive experience in real estate development and investment transactions. Expert financial modelling and analysis skills, with experience in building complex models and drafting substantial technical financial recommendations.
  • Professional Qualifications: ACA/CIMA qualified, with additional investment qualifications (e.g., CFA or IMC) and substantial post-qualification experience.
  • Industry Insight: Deep professional expertise and strong industry insight to support Board-level decision-making. Ability to deliver presentations at Board level.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to build trusting relationships across various levels of the business, particularly with Development and Investment teams.
