We are recruiting for a Reception Teaching Assistant in Salford!


Do you have experience supporting children at Reception age?

Are you a natural at engaging & motivating children in Early Years?

Can you deal with challenging behaviours effectively, with patience and perseverance?

If so, then this is the role for you.

Role - Reception Teaching Assistant at a primary PRU in Salford.
Times - Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm.
Contract - Start ASAP, full time, temporary to permanent for right person.
Pay - Up to £95/day DOE. 35 hours per week. Paid PAYE via Tradewind. Pay reviewed after 12th week in line with AWR legislation.



The School & Pupils
* Primary Pupil Referral Unit in Salford for pupils aged 3-11.
* All students have an EHCP for Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) so will display challenging behaviours at times.
* Class sizes of no more than 8 pupils including TA support.

* Students are grouped by similar needs and levels rather than by age.
* Manage challenging behaviour and emotions.
* Working collaboratively with other Teaching Assistants, management, parents and outside agencies.
* Must promote a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.



To join us and be successful in this Reception Teaching Assistant role in Salford you will need to:


* Have an enhanced DBS certificate that is on the Update Service (or be happy to pay for a new one).
* Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
* Minimum of two professional references checks.
* Provide a CV with full education & work.
* Have the legal right to work in the UK.
* Some experience supporting children with challenging behaviours.
