An exciting newly-created opportunity for a Reconciliations Manager has arisen to join a blue-chip market-leader based in High Wycombe.

The company are looking for an ambitious individual looking to bring in new ideas, improve on processes and drive the business forward.

This role offers hybrid working arrangements, various routes for progression and incredible exposure to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with Divisional & Group FBPs on process improvements and future company development.
  • Preparation & review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Managing a small team of finance analysts.
  • Assist with the preparation of month end accounts to meet internal reporting deadlines.
  • Assist in the development of financial controls, processes, and disciplines.
  • Work closely with the Head of Divisional Accounting regarding improvements to the control environment.
  • Challenge to Divisional finance teams on appropriate accounting treatment to ensure all postings are compliant with accounting standards and principles.
  • Assist in planning and team resource allocation.
  • Drive the introduction of new working practices to ensure they are fit for purpose and provide required outputs.

Person Specification:

  • Fully or part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Proven track record of building excellent working relationships with senior leaders of a large sized business
  • Strong system skills including advanced Excel and Power BI
  • Management accounting experience
