Pertemps Scotland are currently recruiting for Recycling Operatives for our public sector client to support a busy waste and cleansing department

Location - Craigmillar OR Leith
Rate of pay - £12.59 per hour rising to £13.69 as of week 13
Shift Pattern - 4 days on 4 days off
Hours of Work - Mon-Fri 07.30-19.00, Sat & Sun 07.30 - 18.00 with 60min break
Duration - Temporary Ongoing

*Please note this role is not emptying bins with the bin lorry*

Duties will include:
  • Providing advice on where to deposit waste items
  • General labouring duties
  • Helping customers depositing their waste
  • Dealing with members of the public in a calm manner including in potentially difficult situations
  • Operating the weighbridge
  • Taking phone calls

Successful candidates will:
  • Be honest, trustworthy and punctual
  • Have basic IT knowledge
  • Will be given required training
  • Have good customer service
  • Have the ability to work with others
  • Be health and safety conscious

All PPE will be provided. You will be required to work in all weathers on your feet. Heavy lifting may be included.
