Randstad are currently looking for Refuse/Recycling loaders to work with the local authority. The role involves loading refuse/recycling bins and bags onto a refuse vehicle.

Purpose of the role:

Work as part of a team collecting and loading recycling and refuse.

Resposibilities:

-Collect recycling or refuse from the kerbside or other agreed collection point and load into vehicle.

-Quality inspection and pre-sorting of recycling materials.

-Operation of automated loading, compaction and ejection systems on vehicle.

-Carry out reversing assistant and/or banksman duties in accordance with safe working procedures.

-Return bins, boxes and bags to the appropriate location and clean up any spillages.

-Deliver information leaflets and replacement bags/boxes.

-Engage confidently and enthusiastically with the public to advise on all aspects of recycling and waste management.

-Assist with the induction and training of other team members.

-Work in accordance with all safe working procedures, risk assessments, Council policies and employee responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act. This also covers the wearing of reflective jackets, safety footwear and all mandatory PPE and uniform.

Pay Rate: £11.98 per hour

Location: Conwy County Borough Council, Llandudno, LL301HH
