Location: Chester
Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 plus Bonuses
Hours: 37.5 per week + on call duties
Halcyon Care Northwest is excited to partner with a family-owned domiciliary care agency that specializes in delivering high-quality care to elderly individuals who wish to remain in the comfort of their own homes. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Care Manager to join our team. This is an essential role that contributes to the success and reputation of our franchise office, and we are committed to finding the right person for this vital position.
About the Role:
As the Registered Care Manager, you will be responsible for the overall development and daily operations of the agency. Your primary focus will be on promoting a caring environment and ensuring that all clients receive individual and compassionate care tailored to their specific needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the agency while keeping the Directors regularly informed.
- Foster a caring environment that upholds and promotes high standards of professional practice, addressing the physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual needs of our clients.
- Ensure the implementation of the CQC “Fundamental Standards for Care.”
- Recruit, support, and manage the office and care team in accordance with company policies and standards.
- Conduct assessments and provide relevant information to prospective clients, visiting them as necessary.
- Investigate complaints and take appropriate action, reporting to the person-in-control and/or CQC as required.
- Maintain accurate and timely completion of paperwork and data entry, managing the company’s audit and quality assurance cycle.
- Secure and retain records to the required standard, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Provide on-call support to clients and carers during evenings and weekends, ensuring all calls are covered and delivering care sessions when needed.
- Support marketing efforts to promote the agency within the local community and among healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with the company directors to recruit a dedicated care team.
- Uphold company policies and procedures, developing them further where necessary.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in domiciliary care, ideally as an Assistant Manager or Care Manager.
- Strong leadership skills with a compassionate and caring approach toward clients and staff.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- A thorough understanding of CQC regulations and requirements.
