You will provide consultancy to other professionals, provide goal-oriented care & treatment across the service and support with cognitive, psychometric and behavioural assessment, on a referral basis. As a Clinical Psychologist you will be:

  • Undertaking high quality specialist psychological interventions, on a referral basis.
  • Working therapeutically with service users with complex presentations, undertake the assessments using a broad range of structured psychometric and semi structured clinical methods.
  • Supporting colleagues from other professions to develop the service.
  • Formulating and implementing plans of specialist psychological interventions.
  • Professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of psychological practice.
  • Maintaining high standards of care in all areas of practice and in accordance the HCPC Code of Conduct, professional guidelines and Company Policies and Procedures.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • BPS recognised psychology degrees and have Chartered Psychologist status
  • Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Have understanding of evidence-based psychological practice
  • Have experience of applying psychological knowledge to neurological services
  • Be experienced working with clients with neurocognitive deficits
  • Have previous experience of conducting research and project working

Lakefields Neurological Centre, Lambourne Road, Chigwell, IG7 6HH

Lakefields is a service for men and women with a range of neurological conditions, including Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Progressive Neurological Conditions (PNC), Spinal Injury and Prolonged Disorders of Consciousness (PDOC).
