Registered Manager - Children's Residential
Location: West Midlands, West Midlands, Birmingham
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 per annum
Job Description:Job Duties:- Responsibly manage daily operations of a children's residential home
- Oversee and ensure high-quality care is provided to children and young people
- Lead and support a team of staff, providing guidance and direction
- Create and implement care plans that adhere to regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards
- Collaborate with external agencies and professionals to ensure the well-being of residents
- Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent
- Registered with the relevant regulatory body (e.g., Ofsted)
- Proven experience in a similar managerial role within children's residential care
- Experience with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
- At least 3 years of experience in a senior role within children's residential care
- Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong organisational and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle challenging situations
- Additional training in safeguarding, risk assessment, and therapeutic approaches
- Experience working with children and young people with complex needs
- Regular office hours with occasional evening and weekend work required
- Work primarily based within the children's residential home setting
- May involve some travel for meetings, training, or networking events
