We are recruiting a Registered Manager - Children's services.

This is a full time 40 hours per week role and additional hours may be required to meet the needs of the service.

Job details -

  • You must be able to prioritise their workload and that of their team, maintaining and monitoring accurate records. To work effectively within a team and independently when required.
  • Work restoratively with the child or young person and maintain the restorative process. To involve the child or young person in this process and encourage them to be responsible for their actions. Assist them to find ways to resolve disagreements and conflict by working restoratively.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with parents and other family members; social workers; school staff and other professionals with a concern for the children’s needs such as general practitioners or psychologists.
  • You must be able to demonstrate effective leadership and management skills as these are key to the role, as is an understanding of and experience of adolescent and challenging behaviour.

Required skills -

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working with children and young people in a residential setting within the last 5 years.
  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience of supervising and managing professional staff.
