On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Business Analyst for an initial 6 month contract on a 50/50 hybrid basis with offices in London Marylebone.

Purpose of the Role:

This role sits within the Records and Regulatory Reporting Office who organize transaction regulatory reporting for Global Markets, addressing inherent risks as part of its first line of defense. Your role would be as a Business Analyst handling transaction reporting, particularly within EMIR, EMIR Refit, ETD and Listed Derivatives.

In response to a recent IG audit, our client are launching a program to structure the Regulatory Reporting team's (CMI) responses to regulatory events and requests based on IG recommendations. The program has two primary objectives:

  1. Closure of IG recommendations by establishing an organized response framework to regulators (new Target Operating Model).
  2. Supporting the CMI team in managing a backlog of regulator requests end-to-end.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Interpret and transcribe regulations into Business Requirements Definitions (BRD) tailored to business workflows and data models.
  • Continuously improve reporting schemas and data quality, ensuring the existence of audit trails.
  • Manageregulators' requests end-to-end by:
    • Analyzing requests.
    • Liaising with business IT and Ops experts.
    • Drafting detailed and quantified responses to regulators with oversight from Compliance.
    • Organizing and coordinating action plans through delivery, which may involve enhancements in IT regulatory reporting, operational processes, and controls, or resubmission events.
  • Act as an escalation point for internal issues (LRRorAPS/IT):
    • Assist teams with issue analysis requiring deeper expertise.
    • Coordinate and deliver action plans for material issues.
  • Manage IT BoW priority and scope with a transversal approach.
  • Provide regulatory reporting expertise and guidance to all GM partners (new business developments, production incidents, GM projects, TAC/NAC, etc.).

What we require from the candidate:

  • Experience working as a Business Analyst in a similar sized bank or trading environment.
  • Strong ability to navigate complex organizations and influence others.
  • Specific experience in EMIR, EMIR Refit, ETD, Listed Derivatives and transaction reporting.
