A Regulatory Specialist with a chemistry background is urgently required or the responsibility of ensuring the company complies with Global Chemical Regulations in the markets and territories it operates within. Assist with the management and monitoring of the company’s compliance obligations and report/record non compliances.
As regulatory specialist you will verify that the systems and procedures in place uphold the company's ongoing compliance, pinpointing any inefficiencies and notifying the management team accordingly. Ensure that significant alterations in regulations, as per designated compliance duties, are effectively communicated to departmental peers, and that a thorough discussion on the business implications takes place. Aid in the completion of departmental projects by fulfilling assigned work packages.
Hybrid - 3 days onsite
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Pro-actively identify, report on, and improve safety related issues using available tools and systems.
- Responsible for delivering specified work packages in support of Regulatory Product Compliance business objectives / projects.
- Develop expertise and insight within relevant field(s) Regulatory topics supporting experienced staff to understand the impact to the company .
- Process and analyse data and information to support business decision making.
- Clearly communicate findings/ requirements in respect of regulatory queries / projects.
- Building a network within local organisation, e.g., technical, business units, production, etc. Support company SHE objectives by ensuring the company is legally compliant with assigned compliance areas.
- Builds a network with the broader business; technical and commercial teams to become a recognised member of the regulatory team.
- Ensure raw materials and products remain compliant using the current systems and processes.
- Classify raw materials & products in line with local / regional GHS guidelines / regulations.
- Update the relevant systems with classification and ensure communication through the supply chain via legally compliant safety data sheets and labels.
- Support the development and renewal of efficient processes.

QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in Chemistry
- Experience desirable in chemistry polymer biocides coatings etc
- Experience working in a regulatory role, or safety data or similar
- Knowledgeable in the following areas: chemical registration regulations; e.g. REACH, SDS
- Proven project management skills and the ability to work with high volumes of projects
- SAP desirable
