You will be leading a team in a unique ex-offender community hub, which is just brilliant. It’s a safe space for ex-offenders to come, see a friendly face, and get the support they need. They get access to:

  • An onsite gym
  • Music studios
  • Wellness rooms
  • Arts & crafts areas
  • Weekly doughnut and debate clubs (where support workers discuss the week’s news topics over doughnuts)
  • Cooked breakfasts throughout the week (with the clients getting involved)

You will be managing a team that works with a caseload of clients in 1:1 sessions to help them access housing and benefits, register with a GP and dentist, find training courses, provide light-touch employment support, and assist with general life skills such as budgeting, cooking, and wellness.

Your key focus will be overseeing day-to-day operations and delivery of the team, as well as providing support and development opportunities. You will be the key contact for safeguarding and will oversee the referrals process, building strong relationships with partners.

To apply, you must have managed teams delivering a similar service within criminal justice or in a service that supports vulnerable client groups, such as a hostel or supported housing service. You might have worked as a probation manager, supported housing manager, custody manager, service manager, mental health manager, or in a similar role.
