Relationship and Events Manager

Location: Horsforth, Leeds

Salary: £28,000 - £34,000 basic salary (Depending on experience)

Founded in 2010, our client is a dynamic and progressive company that prides itself on offering clients unparalleled access to the world's most prestigious sporting events and experiences. As they continue to expand their portfolio, they are looking for a Relationship and Events Manager to join the team.

The Role

You'll immerse yourself in their extensive range of products and services, collaborating closely with their company directors to flawlessly execute a series of high-profile corporate events and experiences.

In this role, you will not only oversee event delivery but also play a key part in fostering strong relationships with the company’s valued clients. Additionally, you will support their CONNECT program's concierge service, ensuring every client interaction is marked by excellence and satisfaction.

Key responsibilities:

  • Research, plan and deliver a diverse range of events and experiences.
  • Liaise with suppliers and contractors to negotiate prices and hire.
  • Work with the company’s international partners for seamless event delivery.
  • Lead pre-event planning, including speaker coordination, client journey mapping, registration, and gifting.
  • Manage a team for efficient event execution, providing clear guidance and support.
  • Maintain project plans and budgets to ensure meticulous planning and organisation.
  • Ensure that event insurance, legal and health and safety obligations are followed.
  • Produce post event evaluations to enhance future event strategies.
  • Build relationships with existing clients to understand their needs and requirements.
  • Follow up on sales leads and enquiries with client brochures and itinerary examples.
  • Promote other business services when engaging with clients.
  • Create marketing collateral to promote and support your events.
  • Build strong client relationships with both existing and potential customers.
  • Track client conversations and keep the company’s CRM system up to date.
  • Prepare event documents, hold regular team meetings to ensure event planning is on track.
  • Support the Sales Directors, Leadership Team, and other employees from time to time on various projects.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • Exceptional customer service ethos, exceeding client expectations.
  • Minimum 3 years in Event Management.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and organisation skills.
  • A strong work ethic to achieving quality and success.
  • Professional and presentable.
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal working hours to fulfil requirements of event delivery.

Desirable Requirements:

  • A basic understanding of golf and other sporting disciplines.
  • Confident with all Microsoft Office packages.
  • Experience of working in a B2B and B2C environment.
  • Experience of managing event budgets.
