Summary of the role

An exciting opportunity is available for a Release Delivery Manager to join our Transformation department.

In this critical role, you will play a pivotal part in driving the successful delivery of a Release within one of our flagship transformation programmes. Spanning multiple years, the Release will involve multiple work-streams and bring about significant changes across various business areas.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivery in financial services, major programmes and data migrations, with excellent stakeholder management skills.

What you'll be doing

  • Working with the Programme Director, Programme Sponsor and stakeholders to understand strategic context and to define and agree Programme objectives, scope, approach and an appropriate governance regime
  • Have overall responsibility for the development and agreement of budget and expenditure associated with the Release
  • Creating and implementing robust Release planning reporting and control processes
  • Integrating work-streams and manage cross-business interdependencies to ensure co-ordinated delivery
  • Leading, managing and motivating large, diverse teams and other resources
  • Be responsible for chairing governance boards and championing governance processes
  • Identifying financial and operational risks affecting the Release and the business. Then implementing appropriate measures to effectively manage and control

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in managing and delivering major projects or Releases, preferably within the Life and Pensions industry. Financial services experience is essential
  • Previous experience with policy book/data migration is essential
  • Ability to lead large, diverse teams of people
  • Ability to manage stakeholder relationships at the highest level (internal and external)
  • Understanding of leading-edge programme management, methodology and best practice
  • Previous experience of managing 3rd Party relationships and high-level supplier relationships is desirable
