Release Management Specialist

Dublin - 1-2 days onsite per week

€350 - €400 per day

My client a leading consultancy is looking for a Release Management Specialist to join their projects team based in Dublin.

As Release Management Specialist you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end release process for sophisticated software systems and support development and test teams in maintaining various environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist development and test teams in maintaining all Revenue environments.
  • Improve build and release processes through automation.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to Revenue's technology stacks, including Weblogic, Chef, and Docker.
  • Utilise Revenue incident management tools and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Revenue CMDB and Service Desk tools.
  • Occasionally perform Live Releases and support Test environments during weekends.
  • Conduct critical maintenance and upgrade tasks outside of regular work hours as needed.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience working collaboratively in a team on projects involving diverse technologies and architectures.
  • Familiarity with standards-driven environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic proficiency in UNIX tasks (navigation, file manipulation, editing).
  • Experience with Docker is highly desirable.
