Religious Education Curriculum Lead
Are you a passionate and experienced educator in Religious Education (RE)? We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as the RE Curriculum Lead for the upcoming academic year starting in September 2024. This is a fantastic chance to lead and shape the RE curriculum in Buckinghamshire.

Start Date: September 2024 (One Academic Year)
As the RE Curriculum Lead, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing a dynamic, inclusive RE curriculum that engages and inspires students. You will lead the RE department, working closely with colleagues to ensure high-quality teaching and learning experiences that foster understanding, tolerance, and respect for diverse religious and cultural beliefs.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development and review of the RE curriculum, ensuring it meets national and local guidelines and caters to student needs.
- Support RE teachers in planning and delivering engaging, challenging lessons that promote critical thinking and reflection.
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment where students feel valued and respected, regardless of their religious or cultural backgrounds.
- Collaborate with school leadership and stakeholders to highlight the importance of RE and its role in students' spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the RE curriculum, making improvements based on feedback and data analysis.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Extensive experience teaching RE at the secondary level, with strong curriculum design and development skills.
- Excellent knowledge of various religious traditions, beliefs, and practices, with the ability to teach across multiple faiths.
- Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to lead curriculum development initiatives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring and motivating colleagues and students.
- Commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and respect within the school community.
