Job Title: Renewals Clerk

Location: Birmingham

Contract Details: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £24,000 - £27,000 per year

Responsibilities:

As a Renewals Clerk, you will be responsible for effectively maintaining the renewals part of the records system, ensuring accurate processing of reminders and instructions, payment of fees, and updating records. This role requires timely execution within strict deadlines, so exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail are crucial. As part of a dynamic team, you will be expected to provide quality and accurate information while liaising with clients and fee earners.

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

• Thorough understanding of the renewals formalities process
• Knowledge of renewals laws in different territories
• Experience using inprotech for updating and managing patent, design, and trademark renewals
• Familiarity with the system and processes of the outsourcing provider
• Ability to navigate relevant websites for fee payments
• Appreciation of accounts billing procedures
• Competency in using iManage Worksite
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

• Previous experience in a renewals or records environment
• Numeracy skills
• Knowledge of IP practises in different countries
