Research and Technology Manager  - Personal care - Widnes

Due to growth a Research and Technology Manager role has gone live with FTSE 100 company. The client is a global leader in speciality chemicals and has an excellent track record of career progression. The successful Research and Technology Manager will initially manage a team of 4. We are looking for a passionate individual who has a real interest in hair care and would like to lead a growing team. Your direct reports may include Team Leaders, Lead Scientists as well as trainees and interns.

The role:

  • Leading a team of formulation scientists
  • building the knowledge of the businesses Beauty care technologies
  • Technical leadership on projects
  • Providing managerial support to the team
  • Proactively seeking out projects with external organisations
  • Scope projects technical feasibility and other propose future projects.
  • Managing the overall performance of the department
  • Further recruitment within the team
  • Performance management, Career development, training, discipline and remuneration.

Requirements

  • Must have some leadership experience
  • Hair care industry experience
  • Able to develop and create test methods
  • Passionate about Haircare
  • Degree educated in Chemistry, Materials Science or relevant subject
