The Role

This is a unique opportunity to join a highly successful and rapidly growing manufacturing business and to play a pivotal role in developing innovative materials for the manufacturing process. This position will lead the design, testing and optimisation of new materials, including improving the properties of existing materials, and ensuring adherence with industry standards and customer requirements. Reporting to the Head of Product Development, the R&D Lead will manage a team and collaborate with functions across the business.

The Candidate

With 7 or more years of experience in materials R&D, you will also have at least 2 years in a people management/leadership role, and possess extensive experience in the hands-on development, testing and optimisation of materials used in industrial applications. With a degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or a related field, you have a proven track record of driving innovation and successfully bringing new materials to market.
