Research Funding Assistant

Duration: ASAP - 2 Months (Potential of being extended)

Terms: 35 hours per week

Working pattern / arrangements between home and office work: Remote work okay (office is also available if needed)

Role description:

This is a full-time role for two months with an immediate start. This role is office-based with an option for hybrid working. The post-holder will work closely with the Pre-award and Post-award colleague for a dedicated academic unit, based in the central Research and Innovation Division. The role includes collating documentation and logging on management information systems, recording grant submissions including budgeting and award set-up.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with grant submissions including managing deadlines, dealing with budgeting and preparing funding documents.

Handle documentation collation and accurate logging of records on management information systems

Recording grant submissions including budgeting and progressing award set-up steps.

Deal confidently and be a problem solver for staff enquiries.

Project set-up, to include data entry of grant details on grant management system and scheduled overhead journal entry

Assist with financial reporting to funders

Staff timesheet reconciliations and payroll correction journal
