We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Legal Assistant to provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to Legal Advisers and team based in Selby. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our Residential Property department and delivering exceptional client service.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare correspondence and documents through audio and copy typing
  • Administer filing and maintain client files in accordance with office procedures
  • Arrange appointments, meetings, and maintain diaries
  • Provide support and guidance to other secretaries
  • Attend to clients in person and over the phone in a professional and friendly manner
  • Ensure confidentiality of all firm and client documentation
  • Carry out copy typing of documents and amend complex documents
  • Comply with firm's procedures and standards for correspondence and documents
  • Prepare invoices, completion statements, and assist with billing
  • Use various online platforms for property searches and submissions
Qualifications
  • Some legal residential or property experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of IT systems
  • Excellent client service skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in audio and copy typing
  • Integrity to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • 'Can Do' attitude and a team player
