JOB TITLE: Residential Conveyancing Head of Department
PQE: 6+ with extensive experience
LOCATION: Kent
SALARY: £65,000- £75,000

THE ROLE:
A leading regional law firm is looking for a solicitor with at least 6 years’ PQE to join their conveyancing team as Head of Department. The firm has a number of offices throughout the South East and is expanding. The busy conveyancing team undertakes a variety of residential and commercial property work, the majority being residential, and the role will entail managing a full caseload of matters including sales and purchases, re-mortgages, transfer of equity and lease extensions, acquisitions and sales of businesses and refinancing. The appointed candidate will manage and be supported by a team of five Conveyancing Solicitors, generate fees, and engage in business development.

THE CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate must have an in-depth understanding of how the residential conveyancing and commercial property processes work and have experience in dealing with matters quickly and cost effectively. Experience of, or a desire to lead and manage a department is essential as is business acumen. This role is well suited to a confident, experienced individual with a desire to progress to Partner level.
