My client is searching for a Senior Manager Accountant to join their offices based in Andover, Hampshire on a hybrid basis.

Main purpose of the role

To provide effective and timely service to the Firm’s clients in relation to residential property matters.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
• To process client matters on a timely, cost effective and profitable basis.
• To use correct office systems and procedures in order to manage cases effectively in accordance with the Firm's standards.
• To collect outstanding disbursements as soon as feasible and to bill promptly and collect money due to the Firm promptly.
• To maintain professional standards.
• To maximise the Firms potential to cross sell services by identifying appropriate opportunities.
• To compose correspondence and documents including drafting contracts, transfers etc and accounts.
• To liaise with outside agencies, including search companies, HMRC and Land Registry and to use search facilities, including submitting searches and to prepare and submit stamp duty land tax returns.
• To open and close files when required.
• To carry out all conveyancing procedures.
• To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of relevant areas of the Law and to attend appropriate training courses and maintain records of training.
• To promptly respond to client enquiries, telephone calls, emails and correspondence.
• To attend clients when they visit the office or on the telephone.
• To handle confidential files and other information.
• To check files regularly for removal of non-active files.
• To accurately record all time spent on client matters in accordance with standing instructions.
• To complete a risk assessment for all new files.
• To monitor risk on individual matters on an ongoing basis.
• To support fully and co-operate with the Firm’s Compliance Officers
• To play a full part in development of the Department and staff.

• The candidate will have an additional bonus of 10% of all fees paid over £125,000 at the end of the financial year, payable in March of each year with a top up payment once figures are finalised in April. This is based upon a target of £150,000 per annum.
• The candidate will also be entitled to share in the Firm’s incentive scheme which presently pays a bonus to all staff if targets for the transfer of costs are met of £200 per quarter.
• If the candidate introduces clients to the firm who instruct us on any work, they will be entitled to receive 8% of the fees received on any files, exclusive of VAT.
