Job Summary:
 
We are looking for a friendly and well-organized Restaurant Host to welcome and assist guests in our fine dining restaurant. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they receive a warm welcome and exceptional service from the moment they arrive.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and welcome guests as they enter the restaurant, providing a positive and professional first impression.
  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements to ensure efficient use of tables and a smooth dining experience.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
  • Assist guests with any inquiries or special requests, ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively.
  • Communicate with the restaurant staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
  • Handle guest complaints or concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating issues to the manager when necessary.
  • Provide information about the menu, special promotions, and the hotel's facilities to enhance the guest experience.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure timely and accurate service.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a customer service or hosting role, preferably within a fine dining restaurant or luxury hotel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations with grace and poise.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Salary and Benefits:
  • Competitive salary of £27,777 per annum.
  • Additional £3,000 per annum in service charge payments.
