Restaurant Manager - Cambridge

Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 p.a.

Includes bonus scheme which can exceed higher salary level if all KPIs are met.

45 hours per week: Must be willing to work mainly morning shifts, which start 9:30am/10am. You must also be willing to work Thursday evening and possibly one other evening shift - 11pm close. Must be willing to do at least 1 weekend shift per month.

Our client is a highly successful, well established restaurant chain that is looking for a Restaurant Manager able to manage their site in Cambridge. The restaurant has a weekly turnover of £30K and experience working in a similar turnover restaurant is essential. You will be responsible for managing a team of 12 staff, working alongside an Assistant Manager and Supervisor who are part of that team. Strong financial management, stock management, labour costing, meeting KPIs and ability to drive sales is essential.

Duties:

  • Staff management including recruiting, training and mentoirng staff, including close rota management to ensure busy shifts are covering.
  • Financial management including profit & loss, labour costing, budget management and KPIs.
  • Stock management - close monitoring of stock and ordering essential.
  • Front of house - ensuring all food sent out meets the high standards of the restaurant.
  • Customer services - managing customer enquiries and dealing with customer queries through to resolution.
  • Health & Safety - Ensuring Health & Safety and Food Safety practices adhere to the current legislation and standards. Maintaining EHO 5 star rating.
  • Sales - Able to drive sales and maximise sales opportunities. Forecasting labour management intelligently to drive sales.

Requirements:

  • Experience in managing a busy restaurant .
  • Good experience in staff and financial management including managing rotas, labour costing and P&L.
  • Excellent stock management experience with an understanding of waste control.
