Job Description
We're recruiting for aRetail Future Talent Development Consultant to join us. We're offering acompetitive base salary. The Retail Future Talent Development Consultant will support the Retail People Development Team in the delivery of the Retail Future Talent strategy including apprenticeship upskilling, work experience, internships and graduates, People Development including leadership delivery ensuring Retail has the critical talent required to achieve its strategic ambitions. Maximising opportunities to attract, retain, and develop diverse and innovative talent whilst prioritising commerciality and the return on investment of development solutions provided by the Retail People Development team.

What you will be doing:
- Supporting the delivery of Retail's approach to future talent, including internal and external apprenticeships, placements, work experience, graduate programmes, and People Development
- Contributing to the delivery of a strategic, innovative, and effective Retail People Development strategy that identifies and implements key solutions that develop the critical talent required today and in the future
- Effectively managing the administrative activities within the Retail People Development Team to ensure efficiencies and effectiveness of team delivery. Managing bookings, attendance and evaluation data and be able to present and report on these on a regular basis
- Providing key stakeholders with relevant updates, key successes, learnings, and additional suitable solutions. Remaining focused on the value provided from the solutions for Retail, the colleagues and future talent requirements
- As a future talent subject expert, providing advice, guidance, and expertise to ensure the effective application of future talent solutions across Retail
- Gathering insight and feedback to identify improvements that can be made to future talent solutions to ensure continuous improvement remains a priority and the experience for both the colleague and business remains positive
- Supporting the identification and design of solutions that give sufficient emphasis to the need for customers to understand that fair treatment is central to Retail's culture
Who we're looking for:
- CIPD - Learning and Development (Diploma) - desirable
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, internally and at external meetings with suppliers, awarding bodies and professional entities
- Proven ability to project plan and to be able to react flexibly when priorities change, with the ability to innovate and be an agent of change
- Stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence others both internally and externally
- Ability to engage with stakeholders including senior leaders
- Proven ability to evaluate individual and group understanding and provide individually tailored solutions based on training needs analysis, effectively balancing customer and business requirements and outcomes.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships and networks, and collaborate externally and internally
