Cedar are recruiting a Revenue Management position for a natural resources business based in London. The permanent position is reporting into the Head of Revenue and will manage a small team.

The purpose of the role is to build out a dedicated revenue optimisation function responsible for managing the company's market risk, associated data and reporting.

The duties/responsibilities are: -

  • Monitoring wholesale market risk including undertaking and monitoring metrics such as value-at-risk.
  • Utilising software tools to monitor risk and analyse appropriate mitigations.
  • Develop and implement a robust wholesale market risk strategy and associated limits where applicable.
  • Negotiate and execute short term power purchase agreements via route to market providers in relation to non-contracted volume in accordance with Lender requirements and governance requirements.
  • Manage existing long-term power purchase agreements including contract management, analysis and oversight of settlement calculations.
  • Undertake analysis of market fundamentals and analyse the impact of movements on the business portfolio.
  • Provide regular reporting to senior management on wholesale market risk and risk management performance.

The ideal candidate will have: -

  • Have 4+ years in a similar function ideally in manufacturing, construction or logistics
  • A background in engineering, commercial, financial or other relevant disciplines.
  • Strong market risk experience
  • Excellent communication skills for dealing with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent coordination and organisational skills for managing multiple projects and tasks in parallel.
  • Excellent analytic skills.
