The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an RI Technician to join our RI Operations team on a full-time, permanent basis. With global exposure across complex reinsurance programs, broad risks and multi-line products this role will partner across the business gaining a variety of exposure.

Your new role

Reporting to the Facultative Reinsurance Team Leader, you will be preparing and arranging Facultative premium settlements and analysing inwards claims data to facilitate the preparation of Facultative Reinsurance Recoveries.

Other responsibilities:

  • Working with underwriters to obtain contract details promptly.
  • Respond to Broker and Reinsurer queries relating to premium settlements and claims recoveries.
  • Liaising with Claims team to obtain loss reports for reinsurance recoveries.
  • Assist and support the wider team during the implementation of a new reinsurance system.
  • Enter RI policies on internal Reinsurance systems ensuring premiums are paid in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, specifically Re-insurers, Brokers, Underwriters and Claims Teams.
  • Support the work of the credit control team to ensure timely receipt of recoveries. 
  • Perform peer review for tasks completed by the Offshore reinsurance team.
  • Capturing cover note information on reinsurance systems to ensure that all correct details are logged
  • Ensure that high standards of service are maintained and improved upon
  • Determines own work priorities and activities in line with agreed plans to ensure the achievement of personal and team objectives

About you

We would love to hear from you should you have advanced Excel and Word skills, you are eager to learn new skills and expand your knowledge within insurance world.

Skills you'll need:

  • Knowledge of business processes, good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to prioritize work.
  • Knowledge of Reinsurance business (advantageous)
  • Experience using Genius and/or IRIS (advantageous)
  • Experience using Prima XL, Duck Creek XL and/or DCXL (advantageous)
