The opportunity:

Join our engaged Risk function team, supporting business expansion in the UK and internationally. Our team provides a variety of corporate and business activities, offering diversity and challenges to our work. As a Risk Analyst, you will play a crucial role in achieving our strategic objectives and enhancing our Risk function.

What you'll be doing:

  • Support the business in achieving its strategic objectives.
  • Enhance our Risk function by reviewing and improving the risk framework.
  • Work across Enterprise Risk Management, Solvency II, Internal Model, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Investment Risk, Risk Strategy, Risk Culture, Operational Risk, Emerging Risks, and the Risk controls framework.
  • Participate in the quarterly risk management process and other internal and external deliverables.
  • Conduct risk analysis using quantitative data and qualitative information.
  • Recommend and implement process or analytical enhancements.
  • Analyze risk events and near misses, linking them to risks on the risk register, and support deep dive initiatives.
  • Assist with the Own Risk & Solvency Assessment (ORSA) reporting processes.
  • Support Internal Model validation processes.
  • Own and manage processes within the team.

Our must haves:

  • Have strong analytical skills to draw conclusions from data sets.
  • Combine general business knowledge with technical risk expertise.
  • Possess a solid grounding in general business knowledge.
  • Manage tasks end-to-end with thorough review.
  • Communicate effectively with the wider team and document work thoroughly.
  • Communicate across the business, simplifying technical information.
  • Write clear, simple reports that make technical information easy to understand.
  • Work independently on projects and plan project work, reporting on progress.
  • Atleast 1 year experience within a risk role at an Insurance related business.
