Risk and Compliance Lawyer - Bristol, Exeter, Cheltenham, hybrid

First rate opportunity for a Risk and Compliance lawyer to join a dynamic, forward-thinking, agile law firm.

The firm promotes a flexible working culture and this role would be hybrid with a mix of home working, as well as 2-3 days a week from the firm's Exeter, Bristol, Cheltenham or London office.

Reporting to the Governance & Risk Partner and working as part of the Governance & Risk team, you will play a critical role in providing legal and regulatory advice and guidance across the Firm. The Governance and Risk team of specialists work with the Firm and its lawyers to ensure they maintain the highest standards of professional conduct, effectively mitigate risk and are compliant with all legal and regulatory requirements. The team's focus is very much on providing timely, pragmatic and solution-orientated risk advice and guidance.

In this role you will be working as an experienced member of the team, supporting key stakeholders across the business, including Partners, Lawyers and our Business Services teams, with a broad range of risk and compliance issues - including conflicts of interest, AML and financial crime, data protection, SRA Accounts Rules, and claims and complaints. You will also be supporting with escalated queries from the Risk helpdesk and their Business Intake team.

To be considered for this role you should be a qualified lawyer with at least 3 years' experience, or an individual with an equivalent foreign qualification. Compliance, regulatory or claims experience is essential and would be particularly advantageous if gained within a risk and compliance team in a law firm, financial institution or regulator.

Applications from fee earners with regulatory experience, who are considering a transition to a risk and compliance team, are welcomed.

This is a great opportunity to join a Firm which believes potential, inspiration, and teamwork should be valued and nurtured.
