The Client:

Our client is a well-established construction firm, specialises in roofing, cladding, and metal fabrication.

The Role:

As RoofingEstimator, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining cost control and ensuring project profitability.

Responsibilities:

• Examine project plans, specifications, and drawings to comprehend project requirements.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs and develop precise cost estimates.
• Discover potential cost-saving measures and value engineering options.
• Prepare and submit thorough bid proposals promptly.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to collect necessary estimating information.
• Keep a database of historical cost data for future use.
• Track project costs during the construction process and regularly report to management.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.

Requirements:

• Previously worked as an Estimator or in a similar role in construction industry.
• Experience in Facades, cladding, metal and flat roofing.
• Understanding of construction materials, methods, and techniques.
• Skilled in using estimating software and tools.
• Ideally have 1 year of surveying experience.
• GCSE or equivalent qualification would be preferred.
• Capable of evaluating project costs and devising strategies to manage and reduce expenses.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Must live near to the job location.
