Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Roofing Estimator to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for visiting potential job sites, assessing the scope of roofing projects, and providing accurate and competitive quotes to customers. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of roofing materials and techniques, and the ability to deliver exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Visits: Travel to various locations to inspect roofs, measure dimensions, and determine the necessary materials and labour required for each project.
• Assessment: Evaluate the condition of existing roofing systems, identify necessary repairs or replacements, and estimate the scope of work.
• Quoting: Prepare detailed and accurate job estimates, including costs for materials, labor, equipment, and any additional services.
• Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs, answer questions, and provide clear explanations of the proposed work and associated costs.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of site visits, measurements, and estimates using company software and tools.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team, project managers, and other departments to ensure smooth project handoffs and customer satisfaction.
• Follow-up: Follow up on submitted quotes to address any customer concerns, adjust estimates as needed, and secure contracts.
• Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and competitor offerings to ensure competitive and profitable pricing strategies.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in roofing, construction, or a related field with a strong background in estimating or sales.
• Knowledge: In-depth understanding of roofing systems, materials, and construction processes.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and cost calculations.
• Customer Service: Ability to build rapport with customers, address their concerns, and provide a positive customer experience.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify potential issues and develop effective solutions.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to climb ladders, walk on roofs, and perform physical assessments in various weather conditions.
• Valid Driver's License: Required for travel to job sites.
