Location: Flexible on location - WFH (Work From Home) - Someone in the region of the Midlands would ideally suit

Salary: £40-50,000 + benefits

Key areas: RPG RPGILE, HTML, JAVA Script, System 21, JBA, IBMi, AS400, iSeries, OS400

Chapman Tate Associates seeks a RPG / System 21 Developer to join this established Technical Consultancy with a major presence within the IBMi and RPG field.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance System 21 (JBA) based applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Perform system analysis, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure optimal system performance.
• Assist in the integration of new software modules and systems.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users as needed.
• Document code changes and create detailed technical documentation.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a System 21 Developer or similar role within a supportive and development background
• Strong knowledge of RPG, CL, OR DB2/400 programming languages.
• Familiarity with System 21 ERP software and related business processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
