OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • You will collaborate directly with the founder to advance their creative vision, transforming it into unique and innovative designs
  • Research and maintain knowledge of relevant trends and consumer insights to offer further inspiration for new designs
  • Create original design drapes and sketches, following the Founders’ briefs
  • As the sole designer, you will have the exciting opportunity to sculpt the design aesthetics of the brand moving forward, and guide the design to even higher acclaim
  • Working directly with the Pattern Cutter and Sample Maker, you will lead the team and ensure all projects are kept on track
  • You will be a person who thinks outside of the traditional box whilst understanding the commercial needs of the business to support the growth of the company
  • Prepare and present design concepts, sketches, and technical specifications to the Founder, showcasing your ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Working with the Pattern Cutter to create detailed tech packs for sampling and production
  • Oversee the creation of samples and prototypes, offering valuable guidance and feedback while collaborating closely with the Pattern Cutter and Sample Maker
  • Responsible for fit sessions and assessment samples to resolve any product development or quality issues
  • Conduct thorough quality checks on samples to ensure they meet standards for fit, construction, and design mastery
  • Analyse sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to make informed design decisions and identify opportunities for improvement or new design directions.
  • Analyse returns data and re work designs where needed
