Job Overview
Randstad Agency is seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join the Safe and Supported Team in North Tyneside. This role involves providing high-quality support and intervention to children and families in need, ensuring their safety and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work, particularly in child protection and family support, and a commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
Assessment and Intervention: Conduct thorough assessments of children and families, developing and implementing effective intervention plans to ensure their safety and well-being.

Case Management: Manage a diverse caseload, providing ongoing support and monitoring to ensure positive outcomes for children and families.

Safeguarding: Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns, working in accordance with relevant legislation and policies to protect vulnerable children.

Family Support: Work collaboratively with families to build their strengths and resilience, providing practical and emotional support as needed.

Multi-Agency Collaboration: Collaborate with other professionals, including teachers, healthcare providers, and police, to coordinate comprehensive support for children and families.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all assessments, interventions, and decisions, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and organizational policies.

Qualifications and Skills
Education: A degree in Social Work and current registration with Social Work England.
Experience: Significant experience in social work, particularly in child protection and family support.

Skills:
Strong assessment and intervention skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and professionals.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in child protection and family support.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
