About the Role

The Sales Administrator will become an expert in using marketing tools, such as LinkedIn and Zoom Info, to find relevant contacts of company leads given to them and, in some instances, progress these to make a sales appointment for the E-Commerce sales team.

You will also ensure HubSpot usage is optimised to generate qualified leads.

Key Responsibilities

This Sales Administrator role will involve but not be limited to the following responsibilities:

Lead Generation and Qualification

  • Identify relevant contacts using LinkedIn and other data resources based on pre-determined company lists.
  • Generate a minimum number of qualified contacts daily, aligned with targets set by the Line Manager.
  • Actively participate in team meetings.
  • Stay informed on industry issues, including legislation and hot topics, to communicate effectively with prospects.
  • Follow up on marketing-led outreach (e.g., E-shots) to schedule appointments for the Sales Team.
  • Collaborate with marketing to log feedback on mailers, including bounce-backs and opt-outs.
  • Work with the Director of Commercial to create project plans for lead qualification based on prospect feedback and market conditions.

Sales Team Support

  • Provide client quotations as required by the sales team.
  • Handle ad-hoc tasks requested by the sales team to support new business conversion.
  • Log prospect feedback in HubSpot to inform the sales cycle.

Essential Skills
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently toward team goals with minimal supervision after agreeing on objectives
  • Strong data entry skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with a fantastic phone manner and confidence in speaking to people at different levels
  • Strong prioritisation, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Positive outlook and resilience in handling rejections
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to high standards of service
  • Persuasive and determined in pursuing sales leads, able to quickly and accurately acquire key information from prospective customers
  • IT literate, with intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, and clients

Additional Requirements

  • Flexibility to work extra hours at short notice
  • A full driving licence would be required as the candidate will need to be able to travel to customer meetings, etc.
Desirable Skills
  • Working knowledge of Leafletdrop system
  • working knowledge of CRM systems
  • Knowledge of Hub Spot
  • Experience in a sales or business service environment is an advantage.
  • A proven track record in telephone lead generation and/or selling is an advantage.
