Salary: £28,000 - £32,000

Our client are a leading engineering manufacturers and due to continued success, they are seeking a talented Sales and administrator to join the division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Using SAP effectively to raise quotes and orders correctly and efficiently.
  • Use of our CRM system to log calls / visits to current and potential customers. Also must keep opportunities up to date and keep CRM data quality accurate.
  • Constantly working to achieve our monthly sales targets and highlighting areas that need immediate attention to maximise our sales opportunities.
  • Maintain regular contact with the customers for which you have internal account responsibility and provide effective support for those customers where you are performing a supporting role for the external sales team.
  • Continually evaluate competitor activity – viewing their strengths, weaknesses and packages on offer e.g. product/services to enhance the service it offers to its customers.
  • Assist with any sales campaigns, open days, trade days, customer presentations where required.
  • Ensure that all operating procedures are adhered to and work with associates to continually review ways in which to improve efficiencies within this area.
  • Ensure that we adopt a best practice approach within the team by highlighting areas where the team as a whole can benefit either through different ways of working or adherence to systems.
  • Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations.
  • Develops accounts by checking customer's buying history; suggesting related and new items; explaining technical features.
  • Capture key account information such as contact details; industry segmentation data and spend potential and record this within the companies CRM systems.
  • Be willing to take part in trade shows, email campaigns, customer visits, and mill visits for training when necessary. Which will mean working or travelling outside of regular business hours on occasion.

  • IT knowledge and skills, to support generation of management information to support decision making.
