NET Recruit are delighted to be partnering with a market leading educational business to assist them in their search for a successful Sales/Business Development Executive to join the team working mostly remotely. This company provides important services within the educational sector and supports many organisations and business across the country from a technological viewpoint. The position holder will play a vital role in developing the business forwards and ensuring a strong pipeline of customers for the future.

PLEASE NOTE: This role can be worked in a mostly remote capacity; however, it is imperative that any applicant MUST be able to travel to both Guildford in Surrey and also Sheffield in Yorkshire whenever it is required for them to do so. Alongside this, there is the expectation to attend occasional events and exhibitions as part of the job. Please bear this in mind before applying!

Your Role and Responsibilities
While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Promoting the business' solutions and products through proactive sales activities in order to meet and/or exceed sales targets
  • Proactively making high-volume outbound calls and emails
  • Creating and managing a strong sales pipeline, ensuring this is updated and accurately reflects current workflow
  • Identifying new business opportunities in the market and conducting market research before outreach is performed
  • Developing strong working relationships with customers in order to grasp their needs and requirements
  • Performing demonstrations of the platform in order to convey how solutions work effectively to potential clients in order to close sales
  • Maintaining accurate client and sales records in the CRM system
  • Attending outside events or conferences or exhibitions as needed from time to time to promote the services of the business

What you will need to Apply:
To be considered for this role, applicants must be able to display considerable success in both outbound and inbound sales and have excellent communication skills as well as a commercial mindset, with a good understanding of the full sales cycle. Exposure to the education or SaaS sectors would be preferably but not essential. Experience in selling software, or consultative sales experience would be ideal.

What you will get in Return:
The successful applicant will be entitled to a starting salary in the region of £40,000, dependent on previous sales experience and relevant industry knowledge.
