Success Recruit are currently working with a growing family-run business in the manufacturing and industrial sector, seeking an experienced Sales & Business Development Manager to join their team based in South Essex. This is an integral position within their Management Team reporting directly to the MD and leading the day-to-day activity of a busy department, developing & improving processes.

The successful Sales & Business Development Manager will be expected to be:

  • Experienced within B2B Sales Instrumentation
  • Previous experience of Basic Engineering Principles / Process Industries / Technical sales advantageous
  • Confident building strong connections and converting to sales via face to face and lead generation activities
  • Full UK Driving License and car

Job Description:

The Sales & Business Development Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the sales function of the business, whilst overseeing operations and a small team alongside FD. The ideal candidate will be target focused and have a track record of making informed strategic decisions to support growth and attraction of new business, confidently demonstrating this throughout their career.

Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Increasing and building upon new business opportunities
  • Promoting core products & services to new and existing customers
  • Arranging & attending face to face meetings with a nationwide client base
  • Attending video conferencing calls with customers / suppliers
  • Attending exhibitions in UK & overseas
  • Sales reporting directly to Managing Director
  • Ability to implement new ideas around generation of new business

This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of staff and develop with the company long-term whilst having the opportunity to grow within the position. It will suit someone who enjoys looking for ways to improve a business and be part of the senior management team supporting the director with growth plans long term.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm / 9 - 5pm - working from home 1 day a week initially.

Salary: £45-£60k plus performance-based commission.
