Purpose of the role:

The SDR role is critical for developing and managing new customer opportunities. The role acts as a bridge between marketing and sales by opening opportunities and ensuring suitable resources from the sales and marketing teams are coordinated to successfully win the opportunity.

The SDR is responsible for engaging multiple decision makers within an account and identifying their individual needs. The SDR will use this information to create and develop opportunities for the sales execs, continue to engage the customer throughout the sales process and coordinate any Account Based Marketing to support the sales effort.

3 Days a week in Bath (Hybrid working)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate opportunities via calling, email and social selling
  • Follow-up all in-bound sales enquirers
  • Work with Microsoft to co-generate and develop leads
  • Establish customer relationships and nurture to develop leads
  • Identify and engage the full decision-making unit for Enterprise opportunities, including IT, C suite and procurement.
  • Work with the Sales Exec throughout the sales process to nurture the opportunity
  • Work with the marketing team to plan and coordinate ABM activities into suitable prospect accounts
  • Recruit, attend to speak to and follow-up Enterprise accounts for marketing events
  • Lead management within CRM and other reporting tools

Technical skills:

  • Experience in an IT and sales environment
  • Sales calling and sales skills
  • Information management in CRM system
  • Consultative selling
  • Tracking engagement and touchpoints within target accounts
  • Researching target businesses, individuals and contact information
  • Social selling
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Cloud, or similar technologies

Essential skills required:

  • Ability to build a rapport with prospects
  • Confidence in contacting prospects on phone and social media
  • Experience in a high value service or IT environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Interest in business and the challenges and opportunities faced by businesses
  • Working in a targeted environment
  • Ambitious and determined
  • Organisational skills
