We are now looking for a Sales Engineer to join their busy, successful, and growing presales team.

Sales Engineer - Presales

UK, remote, to support mainly Europe and possibly some Middle East.

£100-110K + bonus with OTE of c£160K and excellent benefits package including pre - IPO stock options.

To be successful in this role:

You will be a confident Pre-Sales Engineer with a minimum of 8+ years career experience in solution selling and technical presales roles. Other requirements for this role include:

  • Proven track record selling complex enterprise solutions
  • Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with senior executives at partners and customers
  • Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Solutions engineering & architecting experience in the Storage, Data Protection, Data retrieval, Data Protection, or Security experience strongly preferred
  • BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or comparable

Position summary:

Our client is seeking an experienced and ambitious presales Sales Engineer with a strong track record and a genuine passion for selling technology solutions.

Job role and responsibilities:

As a presales Sales Engineer, you will be a key team member who is responsible for supporting the Account Executives, OEM technical communities, partners and end user customers. You will provide presales advice and support with technical responses, presentations and problem solving to win new business and cultivate existing relationships to achieve high renewal rates and customer and partner satisfaction. Other responsibilities for this role include:

  • Support sales executives with solution selling to partners and OEM’s
  • Develop a strong understanding of the IE product and OEM offerings
  • Partner with sales executives to plan, prepare and execute strategic deals in complex sales cycles with partners and OEM’s
  • Successfully match customer pain/requirements to proposed solutions
  • Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value product range
  • Manage all technical aspects of RFP / RFI responses to partners and OEM’s
  • Effectively communicate client needs to the IE product teams for future product enhancements
  • Collect and document competitive intelligence
