The position of a Sales Estimator is a critical role in our team, requiring proficiency in preparing cost estimates by analysing proposals and requirements within the induistrial/manufacturing industry.

Our client based in Neath / Port Talbot is a well-established company in the Industrial / Manufacturing industry. Description

An Estimator is required to provide a helpful, knowledgeable and skilled service for our customers, asking questions carefully and providing an invaluable service to interpret their requirements into a perfect solution. Guiding, advising and establishing their needs by excellent verbal and written communication. Providing them with a suitable quotation and 2D Autocad drawing and nurturing that relationship to ensure they feel we offer a professional and quality service, in tune with their needs and importantly within their budget and specification.

You would have a genuine interest in developing great rapport, setting a great example of the business, using skills to produce quotations that ensure the client returns to you and it fits with compliance and standards within the built environment. A sound understanding of our product range and its capabilities is essential to grasp therefore a technical understanding of drawings and manufacturing is highly beneficial.

A genuine interest in aesthetics in the built environment and current standards is important to demonstrate the passion and desire to provide the very best solution to our customers and markets.

Key duties will include:

  • Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
  • Identify labour, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
  • Compute costs by analysing labour, material, and time requirements.
  • Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analysing information.
  • Present prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
  • Maintain cost databases by entering and backing up data.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Profile

A successful Sales Estimator should have:

  • Experience in a technical manufacturing and/or FMCG environment
  • Aptitude for reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications - ideally basic CAD experience
  • Customer facing experience either in a sales estimator, customer service or sales role
  • Excellent rapport building skills

Job Offer

  • An estimated salary range of £27,000 to £33,000 per annum.
