Day-to-day of the role:
  • Engage and influence customers, managing one-time purchases to ongoing sales account servicing.
  • Handle complex or large sales enquiries with confidence and initiative.
  • Conduct market research on competitors to strategically win business.
  • Manage and develop a small portfolio of clients, ensuring their continued satisfaction and business growth.
  • Occasionally visit customers to strengthen relationships and understand their needs.
  • Negotiate with suppliers both in the UK and internationally to secure the best terms.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a sales & customer service role.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • A proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Experience with Live Chat / Teams is desirable.
  • Skilled in prioritising customer quotes/enquiries.
  • Proven negotiation skills and good people skills.
  • Ability to upsell/cross sell to maximise profit.
  • History of building and maintaining long-lasting customer relationships.

Please Note: Those without previous sales experience will not be considered for this role.

There will be some occasional travel to client visits required. Fuel expenses covered.

Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range of £27,000 - £30,000 per year.
  • Full-time, permanent position with standard working hours from 8.45am to 5.15pm, Monday to Friday.
  • 23 days annual holiday, plus public holidays and additional 3 days holiday during the Christmas to New Year closure.
