Macildowie is excited to be working exclusively with a renowned company based in Shepshed. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sales Ledger Assistant to join our client's finance team. About the Role

The Sales Ledger Assistant will play a crucial role in the finance department, ensuring the efficient management of the sales ledger. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and supporting the finance team with various tasks related to sales ledger processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing the sales ledger, including raising and sending out invoices
  • Processing receipts and reconciling customer accounts
  • Chasing outstanding debts and ensuring timely payment from customers
  • Handling customer queries and resolving any discrepancies
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all sales transactions
  • Assisting with month-end closing processes and financial reporting
  • Liaising with internal departments to ensure smooth financial operations
  • Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required
Experience & Skills Required:
  • Previous experience in a sales ledger or accounts receivable role
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good organisational and time-management skills
