Sales Ledger Clerk

We are supporting a company based in Ilford with recruiting for a Sales Ledger Clerk. This is a full time, office based position working Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm with an hour for lunch. You will be offered up to £31,000 depending on your experience and benefits will include a company pension scheme, on-site parking and a cycle to work scheme.

Duties will include:

  • Credit check account applications and opening and closing of accounts
  • Amending customer credit limits when required
  • Cash posting and allocation
  • Reviews of unallocated cash
  • Sending invoices, credit notes and statements
  • Weekly/Monthly Aged Debtor reviews
  • Chasing debts and issuing late payment letters
  • Weekly and monthly reporting
  • Supporting the Sales Team taking orders and handling general customer queries

To be successful for this position you will need to have accounting experience within credit control or sales ledger with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You must be a people person as this role will require occasional face-to-face interaction with customers too.
