Alexander Daniels are proud to be working with an established manufacturer outside of Cannock, to recruit for a Sales Ledger Clerk on a permanent and full-time basis. Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will take ownership for the full sales ledger process from processing sales orders, managing and reconciling the sales ledger, building relationships with customers and chasing outstanding debt to ensure smooth and consistent cash flow for the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monthly Debtors close and revaluation
  • Credit Control and Customer general queries
  • Issuing Proforma prepayment invoices
  • Issuing Credit Notes/ Credit and Rebills
  • New Customer Set up
  • Customer Reviews and Resolution of outstanding price queries and missing quotes
  • Sales Return Review
  • Issuing all AR Statements for the new month
  • Raising Sales invoices
  • Running Customer GBP daybooks
  • Collating and filing delivery documentation
  • Customer Proof of Delivery Queries
  • Issuing Commercial invoices
  • Other Manual Sales invoicing
  • Sales orders onto system
  • Other adhoc duties as necessary to support the Finance Manager & Team

The ideal candidate will be AAT Qualified (or studying towards) or with experience in a similar role managing an end-to-end sales ledger process ideally within the manufacturing industry, although this is not essential. You must be an excellent communicator with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

This is an amazing opportunity for an experienced candidate who is looking for a role in which they can take ownership for a process and make it their own. You will have the support of a small and friendly finance team and benefit from a 12 o'clock finish on Friday, 25 days holiday (plus bank holiday), Christmas shutdown, and other benefits such as critical illness plans and death in service.

This is an on-site business offering plenty of free parking, and the hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8am to 5:15pm and Friday 8am to 12pm.
