Sales Manager DACH (Automotive)

We are working on behalf of a globally recognised automotive brand to recruit a Sales and Network Manager focused on the continued growth of their position in the DACH region.

Ideally based in the SW of Germany, the Sales Manager will report to the Country Manager - DACH region and play a pivotal role within the company targeting growth . You will be responsible for establishing and delivering the business strategy and manage the business operations of the region. You will create and manage channel partner networks (dealers), drive retail sales, demand generation of leads, sales & service network coverage and increase customer satisfaction through dealership excellence. This role will work closely with dealerships to further develop the market and support the country & networks to achieve targets.

Key responsibilities will include:

-    Development and execute strategic plans to improve the reach, visibility and profitability of our client in the region

-    Build and integrate the brand supporting variation of demand and interested in the region

-    Driving the achievement of overall revenues, volumes and profitability targets defined for the region while focussing on growth across product lines and categories

-    Build and manage the dealership network with a focus on quality of partners and through delivering customer experience; expand the availability and visibility of the full range of products to increase brand penetration and reach

-    Being responsible for enhancing the customer experience across dealerships by following the structure, process and infrastructure standards defined by our client

-    Continuously lead and engage with the business development and aftersales teams to ensure each dealer is delivering the correct level of customer experience

-    Work with field resources for addressing the needs of the dealers

-    Assist the dealers in identifying potential areas from a growth and improvement perspective. 

To support this role, you will ideally have/be:

-    15-20 years of experience in managing sales functions in the automotive industry with experience in countrywide/DACH dealer sales & service

-    A complete understanding with dealership operations in the areas like Sales, Service, Parts & Accessories, Financial Services and general merchandise

-    Comfortable working independently in a dynamic environment

-    Established credibility by delivering results through consulting and counselling business owners

-    Experience  in developing new market areas through expansion of new dealers and management of existing dealers

-    A brilliant track record of leading, driving and developing teams whilst maximising available resources and maintaining high morale    

-    Good networking and PR skills and personal stature to represent our client in your region

-    Strong communication and interpersonal skills
