Job Role: Sales Manager

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 DOE

Location: Hull

Hours: Full-time Monday - Friday

Axi Recruitment is working with a leading Transport, Warehousing and Distribution specialist who offer solutions across Europe. Our client is seeking a self-motived and pro-active Sales Manager to generate new sales leads and contacts. This role involves identifying and capitalising on new opportunities, nurturing customer relationships, enhancing profitability, and driving the growth.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and formulate the sales strategy and achieve the revenue and profit goals set by the business
  • Develop business according to our sales strategy with a key focus on finding loads from UK-EU and new UK and European warehousing and distribution customers
  • Ensure existing accounts are maintained and developed
  • Leading negotiations with customers regarding price and service.
  • Expected to work closely with the operations and customer services team to ensure customer needs and expectations are met
  • Produce reports to Management on core-activities, including sales calls/meetings, tenders, outcomes, post contact analysis and reports

The Person:

  • 3 years sales experience within Transport and Warehousing Industry
  • Previous experience working in road freight logistics, operating a fleet of both UK and European based vehicles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to establish and build relationships
  • Strong negotiation and pricing skills
  • IT Literate with MS office packages such as Outlook, Excel and Word
